I feel proud to be a Singaporean and as much as I may complain about our rather high standard of living and how everything is controlled here, I still love it in SG!
My home, where my friends and love ones are. Favourite food of all kinds here, especially cheap simple good hawker food. A safe country to live in without fear of safety. Convenience of transportation. I have to say, we are quite spoilt.
I almost had a chance to migrate previously but thinking back, I don’t think I can ever bear to leave this place. People may say and make comparisons about a slower, relaxing life in the other countries or even getting to pursue their material gains overseas. I kinda think it’s rather pathetic if you have to proceed to somewhere else to get what you want that you cannot afford here. Always live within your means and be thankful for what you are blessed with.
Unless you are talking about retirement but I do not want my life to slow down to that retirement age, just yet. Nah I think I would be happy enough to start a family here and die in homeland when I grow old and weak. For this is where I belong, and where most of my kin, beloved friends and memories are.
