Time zooms by…

Been busy!

Actually I would like to take a poll on this : ” Would you like your life to be filled with many busy activities or would you rather have all the free time in the world?”

I guess for me, I’d rather have my life to be busy than to be having too much of a lull period. It makes the brain rusty if you don’t have the chance to use it. I take every day as a learning process. I am hungry for information to be fed to me.

Besides, I feel that when I am busy, especially at work, it feels like at least I’m doing something to contribute to the society, be it whether I like it or not. Yes, I may feel that I’m swarmed and overwhelmed..overworked, under paid..yadda yadda.. but I quickly recover from these thoughts and just hope that time passes by in a flash and then we all get over and done with it.

Everything is but an experience. The person with a small role behind all the big events but nevertheless makes things happen even having to settle all the nitty gritty issues. It just helps to put things all in place.   In a positive light, even though often, we are tasked to deal with stuffs not within our scope, be thankful that we are being exposed to it.

Having said all that, I really hope for November to come by! Real soon! :)

So many things to look forward to… my close ones will know. *winks*

My 2009

2009 is going to come to an end and I will like to say that it has been a year of lotsa happenings for me.

I slowly try to recall as I look through the archives of my blog and through the calendar of my iphone now.. beginning from January…

Strangely, it seems that life weren’t exciting in the 1st few mths of 2009 for there were no entries from January - March in my iphone..

Okay the silliest thing that I ever did for the year of 2009 is/was …

I forgot my laptop and left it at home which became the greatest joke in office for the day. >> refer to this post

One of my greatest achievements for 2009 is getting my Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Management and I’m proud to say that I’ve accomplished one of my goals in pursuing something I have great interest in.

Having to juggle between studies and work is quite a feat and I remember that during that period of time, my weekends were all burnt and all that accompanied me were my laptop, countless of assignments and books. Seriously, no joke. I had no social life then. But all that sacrifice was worth it in the end.

One of the most happening events I attended in 2009….. The Cleo 50 most eligible bachelors! And I was kinda infatuated with one of them as well.. which I shall keep it a secret.. teehee

One of my most challenging task was helping out as a volunteer at the Asian Youth Games, representing Singapore, performing the role of a liaison officer, I was in charge of planning the daily activities of my VIP who is the President of the Thailand National Olympic Council and I was working even harder than I would have been sitting at the office. My day usually starts from 7.30-8am till the nights of 8pm – 11pm and my Saturday and Sundays weren’t spared at all. It was a great experience and I am fortunate to be able to partake in such an event.

The most exciting match of the year……… No doubts… it’s gotta be Liverpool!!!!! Imagine my excitement when they were coming to town!

The most significant month of the year… was getting together with my special one. The month of October. And that’s probably the best thing that happened in 2009. :)

It is a must to travel at least once/twice every year…

The poor measly me could only afford to travel to Asian countries..

Countries I travelled to :

- Genting trip in May (It was hella fun!)

- Bangkok trip in Aug (shop, eat..girly fun!)

- KL Road trip in November(eat,shop, drink..fun!)

Looking back… in 2009 I made alot of new friends. Gained alot of experiences.. gone through a fair  bit of things..

2009 was also a year that I moved office and moved house!

And not to mention building of my Sylvanian house and family all thanks to my darling Wilson for lending a hand in this.. :D

I was happy for most of the months in 2009.

It wasn’t a smooth year.. I didn’t get to put my degree to good use.

Towards the later parts of the year.. things took for a change at the workplace.. the place I once thought I could build a career in. The place where I once said that I like how things were.

Like what the saying goes.. “All good things must come to an end one day.” I didn’t know it was that soon. Those (Sept-Nov) were probably the most depressing days and the workplace suddenly seem like a warzone. It was a period of time where I felt like breaking down.

You know how it is that once things changes, it can never be the same anymore. Just like when glass shatters and you try to stick back the pieces, it just looks no longer the same. That’s how it is now.

Hopefully 2010 will see more prospects in my career so that I can work towards greater things. I am positive about it. Cheers to 2010 and hopefully you guys will have a great 2010 ahead! :D

December 2009

The month of December, has always been a month that I look forward to every year.

This year, there were alot of first time/s.

The early first two weeks of December was….

The first time he celebrated my birthday with me.

The first time I celebrated his birthday with him.

The first time we went cycling together at East coast Park.

The first time I cycled his professional bicycle and we cycled from Yishun all the way to Jalan Kayu for prata. *sweats*

The first time we celebrated his b’day with his friends, followed by clubbing at St James.

——————-

The 3rd week wasn’t too merry as we mourn for the loss of my grandfather.

The following week after, there was another funeral to attend. It was the wake of my uncle’s sister.

And then the family decided that maybe we shan’t be celebrating Christmas this year.

——————-

On the 23rd December, it was my first time partying at Zouk’s mambo with the colleagues! It was insanely crowded.

——————-

On the 24th December, even though I still wasn’t exactly in the mood for Christmas… I was showered with so many presies from the colleagues. I certaintly could feel the love and I was touched by them. I was guilty in fact that I did not much shopping and I did not have gifts in return for them.

On that very evening, I met up with love and we celebrated Christmas eve for the first time with his bunch of friends! Before that, we bought take-away of mushrooms and chicken wings from Outback Steakhouse for the partaye.

At Michelle’s place where the celebration took place, we played Taboo and then we had a cake cutting session for the 2 birthday folks, Desmond and Michelle.

At the stroke of midnight, we wished each other “Merry Christmas” and exchanged presies. :)

——————-

The 25th December – Christmas Day!

Baby accompanied me for our first Christmas mass!

Then it was his first time spending his day with me though I know he hadn’t got enough of sleep the night before, he was sweet enough to spend it with me.

We ended off the night at my place! *winks* :)

——————-

26th December – Boxing day!

Baby came over to my place for dinner, again! I hope he’s not bored of dropping by my house now.. it’s like almost 3 days in a row that he’s been here.

And…. he even came over with a mission, which was to help fix up my cupboard to let me hang some clothes. How sweet.. :)

Nvm that it wasn’t really  successful for that gesture just means so much.. and on top of that he even helped me to fold my clothes.. LOLS..

And there you have it… my eventful month of December..!

I guess in my next entry… I’ll sum up an entry of reflections and happenings for my year of 2009. Till then.. I hope you guys had a good month of December!
