Fashion mistakes.

Lunch’s topic today was about some fashion mistakes women make.

Basically K was talking about this lady who’s in her early to mid 30s. She wore a cap-sleeved blouse and as she was grabbing hold of the MRT hand rails for support, out peered many strands of armpit hair.

Secondly, it was R talking about how vividly he recalled this scene of an overly plump girl in her teens who was clad in a super duper tight spaghetti strap top that revealed about 3-4 layers of fats. On top of that, she also wore super tight jeans. He was in high school then and he remembers it till today.

Yes, we may make fashion mistakes every now and then. However it is always easy to notice some of the same old things repeating and we often wonder what goes on the heads of these people. We feel that people sometimes try to get the wrong kind of attention from others, in a disastrous way I would say.

1. Wearing clothes which are just too fitting, tight.

I guess this would apply to almost all women? Thin, avg, heavy.

People sometimes wear clothes that seem to just stick on their skins.. I wonder if they can breathe.

Others may wear it so tight that their bulges all just appear.

I thought clothes are supposed to maketh a man not to trash a man?

So why is it that they are trying to highlight all the wrong areas.

2. Over-accessorising.

Yes we know X’mas is around the corner now. Doesn’t mean that you can also decorate yourself up with as many colours as you want. Bangles, Earrings, necklaces and hair bands. Do you want to be a walking tree too?

This looks overcrowded and messy.

Probably good enough to draw attention to one or two areas.

3. Showing off your bra straps.

My friends and I have seen this so so many times! And we always wonder why would they wanna show off their bra straps? If your bra strap has bling, is nice, matches the colour of your outfit then fine.

That single day when we were out, we saw 3. All had either dirty white straps, dirty beige or just simply beige. Distasteful. (we didn’t deliberately try to notice, we just happen to.)

Probably no to the straps if you’re planning to wear a tube top or a toga.

4. VPLs! Undies alert.

People are not conscious that when they are seated they reveal their undies!

Some wear body hugging dresses and you can see VPLs!

Oh ya and how about those who wear white pants and still insist on wearing black or other bright coloured undies as well?

Unsightly!

5. Mis-matched shoes.

I just wanna say that in my opinion, the ugliest fashion shoes ever, have to be crocs! No doubt about it.

It’s my personal opinion, I repeat , just in case people come throwing their plastic crocs at me.

Imagine. Nice look, nice outfit, ugly shoes = no for me.

No to fugly market kinda slippers and crocs.

Okay yes. You say give crocs a try, maybe the newer version of crocs are nicer. Still, no thanks. :)

Alrights that’s all of my 5 pointers! If you’ve got more to add on, leave a comment ya.

My tagboard is not up, yet.

If I am not wrong, WP doesn’t allow for that function. :S
